VIIIth Early Music Summer University, 5-10th of July, 2015 Masterclasses:


  • Recorder and flute – Zoltán Széplaki (Budapest)
  • Baroque violin – Piroska Vitárius (Budapest)
  • Voice – Réka Palócz (Budapest)
  • Harpsichord and basso continuo (between 6th and 11th of July) – Erich Türk (Cluj-Napoca)
  • Lute and guitar – István Kónya (Budapest)
  • Viola da gamba, basso continuo – István Csata (Cluj-Napoca)
  • Percussions in early music, percussion chamber course:  musical plays, improvisation, phrase-compilation – Roland Kasza and Balázs Sudár (Budapest)
  • Renaissance and Baroque dances (it starts with at least 6 participants) – Anikó Szabó (Cluj-Napoca)
  • NEW AND FREE! Music Criticism – Evaluation criteria of the early music performance (between 7th and 11th of July) – Elena Maria Şorban (Cluj-Napoca)

All participants may attend Renaissance ensemble masterclasses with the guidance of István Csörsz Rumen (Budapest) and/ or morning dance classes with Anikó Szabó (Cluj-Napoca).
Beside the closing concert of the summer university, students also have the possibility to perform at the festival’s concerts.

General Information:
The course fee is 300 RON (€70)/person.
For groups of 5 or more member the price is 150 RON (€35)/ person. The group can consists of any partitipant from different mester classes of the Summer University.

Participation fee can be paid in advance or on the spot of the festival. The courses will be held in “Nagy István” Fine Art and Music High School, which can be found at Piaţa Libertăţii nr. 18. If required, we can provide interpreter for the classes.

The price does not include neither the costs of the accomodation, nor the meal.

If you claim, we can book a room for you with 2-6 beds for 21-30 RON/person/night. If you claim for accomodation, please mark it in the registration form.

Nearby the spot of the Summer University, there are more restaurants where you can choose from various daily menus at a reasonable price.
